Task

The password for the next level is stored in the file data.txt next to the word millionth.

Solution

Let's see the files present:

bandit7@bandit:~$ ls
data.txt
# print no. of lines in data.txt
bandit7@bandit:~$ wc -l data.txt
98567 data.txt

Just cat the file and pass it to grep with the word millionth:

cat data.txt | grep "millionth"

One liner: cat data.txt | grep "millionth" | awk '{print $2'}"
